The Extended Period of Eligibility (EPE)

  • During the EPE, you can receive SSDI benefits for any month your earnings are below the Substantial Gainful Activity (SGA) level.
  • For 2025, the SGA limit is $1,470 per month for most beneficiaries, or $2,460 per month if you are blind.


Reporting Work to the SSA

  • Start and stop dates of employment
  • Changes in duties, hours, or pay
  • Gross monthly earnings
